PURPOSES OF AGFO
- To work for and defend, as we have done in the past, the preservation of the Republic of the Philippines so that justice, liberty and democracy shall always prevail,
- To render assistance to any undertaking for the advancement of the general welfare of the people;
- To render assistance or take any action necessary to maintain the high state of morale, esprit de corps, and discipline in the Armed Forces of the Philippines, so that it will always be in peak efficiency for better service to country and people;
- To render assistance or take any action necessary to protect and advance the welfare of Philippine veterans of all wars;
- To work for the advancement and the protection of the welfare and interest of the retired officers and men of the Armed Forces of the Philippines;
- To set an example to all officers and men of the Armed Forces of the Philippines of the spirit of camaraderie, military courtesy and proper conduct and decorum so as to preserve the honorable tradition;
- To the extent permitted by law, to acquire by purchase of lease, or otherwise, land and interest in land as may be necessary or incidental to carry out the affairs and objectives of the association;
- To borrow money and to make notes and other evidences of indebtedness as may be necessary to carry out the objectives of the association, and, when necessary, to secure the same by mortgage, pledge or by any other lawful manner of securing obligations;
- To do and perform such other things which are incidental or conducive to the accomplishment of the above purposes and objectives.
